Bandom friending meme
Everybody loves friending memes, right?
Since I just got here, I thought it would be nice to meet new people or reconnect with some of you who moved from LJ to DW.
This meme is about bandom. Pimp it. Make new friends. Go! Go! Go!
All you have to is copy/paste the form below and fill it out.

You can also find me here:
Age: 59 for one more week
Location: Twin Cities, MN
Favorite bands: In bandom, MCR. But I have to claim The Headstones and Great Big Sea as well. GBS just makes me happy and I will never not be fannish about anything involving Hugh Dillon.
Favorite pairings: Picking is HARD, okay? I don't want any of them to be left out. I am passionately fascinated by Frank Iero (Luce is rolling her eyes, here) and Gerard is beautiful and brilliant and knows my soul. Ray, my God, speaks to me so much as a musician and Mikey, dear Mikey, is incandecent and I haven't quite figured him out yet so I spend a lot of time staring at him. If you gave me a list of stories I'd read all the Frank/Gerard first but I read all MCR pairings and will also read them slashed with other bandom guys, particularly Patrick and Pete. I don't have a hard squick against Waycest but I love them as brothers so much - BEST BROTHERS EVER - and that will always be my preference for them.
Other fandoms: Obviously I'm an old Sentinel fangirl, it's what brought me into fandom proper. Most recently I've been in due South/Canandian 6 Degrees, especially Canada itself which I've loved all my life. I still have great affection for my fandoms north of the border but MCR owns me right now.
Anything else you'd like to add: I actively resisted getting into bandom for years. I thought they'd make me feel old and wouldn't have anything to say to me. I was so fucking wrong. They make me feel alive and, even better, they remind me who I am that that's the biggest gift ever.
Also, hi! *waves*

Oh, and I'm totes NOT rolling my eyes at you, crazy lady. Also, I approve of spending significant amounts of time staring at ♥Mikeyway♥. LOL! :D!

a. I love over 40 fangirls!
b. Your answer to the favorite pairings! Picking IS hard - it's how I feel about ALL of bandom (and actually how I often get hooked into new bands - when someone pairs them with a favorite - I'm just "Ok!" and adopt them too /o\
c.your anything else -bandom saved my life -total cliche but it absolutely did by reminding me who I am. ♥

a. Me too!
b. Yes yes yes! (shifty look at giant pile of cds)
c. I think the reason get all cynical and conservative as they age is they forget who they are. Bandom is, like, the perfect antidote to that.
