Epic weekend
Holy shit. This weekend was AMAZEBALLS.
So, you guys remember how I told you one of my oldest LJ friends was coming to London this week?
Saturday didn't start the way we wanted it to. British Airways lost Anno's luggage. It rained all of the rain.
As I was waiting for her in front of the Doctor Who Experience though, KARL URBAN CAME OUT OF THE BUILDING! He was with his wife and two kids so I tried not to creep on him too much. I grabbed my phone and frantically tweeted that I HAD RAN INTO KARL URBAN OMG \o/
I sat down at a bus stop and waited for my friend to arrive for what seemed forever but that's because I'm the most impatient person ever.
When she got there, we hugged and finally, it was time for DOCTOR WHO.
I couldn't stop flailing at her. We actually got to walk into the TARDIS. We took all of the pictures and I came out of there with a brand new badass mug that I will probably show you at some point (I don't have time to put my pictures on my laptop right now, sorry).
After this, we walked into the rain, desperately trying to find a WAGAMAMA because we were the hungriest. Well, I was. We didn't find it and decided to go for a pizza instead. We found the Wagamama after we came out of Pizza Hut. It was RIGHT THERE. /o\
Anyway. We walked around Whole Foods for a little while, admiring all of the delicious things and the Moo Free chocolate. Then a lady behind me in the tofu section muttered "if you're not gonna buy anything, just get out of my way."
Anno didn't hear her but I did and it pissed me off. Then, after I told Anno about it, it made us laugh and we turned the phrase into a meme. "If you're not going to..., just get out of my way."
Since it was still early and we were feeling quite adventurous, we decided to go to the Science Museum next.
We weren't impressed with most of the things we saw. I guess I prefer old things. There were a couple of fun games though and we managed to try those right before the museum closed.
I came home and fell asleep during a re-watch of the old Fright Night movie.
The next morning, I was up at the crack of dawn. I tried to get shit done without much success and then it was time for Brighton.
Oh Brighton. This was exactly what I needed. The air is amazing. I love the smell of the sea. My nostrils were the happiest.
We walked down the pier and took pictures of everything. Then we wandered around the city, trying to find a place to eat and admiring the architecture.
I had a cannollo at an Italian restaurant. It was sooooo good. I seriously need to learn how to make those.
We did a bit of shopping next. Got some egg cups and cupcake cases at some store that had a clearance sale. Everything was 50% off and I wanted to buy EVERYTHING.
I also bought a new pair of fantabulous knickers at Primark. Pictures to come.
I think that's about it. We took the train back to London and then hugged goodbye. I'm going to meet her on Wednesday for a movie and possibly lunch or dinner. It should be fun.
Oh. Apparently, I am like Frank when I'm reading a book. I basically got in the wrong train on my way home and didn't realize it was going the wrong way. I only had to go back one stop though. Not too bad. I was just so into Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins that I just forgot myself.
And now, have a meme I stolen from my dearest Mikey.
