Fandom Snowflake Challenge - Day 1
I have been out of the fandom for a while.
I remember fondly the days where I had time to write novellas and big bangs like nobody's business. I remember how much I enjoyed telling stories about band boys in love.
That's why I decided to participate in this challenge. It just sounds like it could be fun.
Anyway. Here's my contribution:
Dance While the Sky Crashes Down - It's not a secret that my favorite kind of stories are post-apocalyptic ones. I wrote this story for NaNoWriMo and had bits and pieces in my head way before it was fully fleshed out. I kept seeing flashes of it; the escape of Gerard and Mikey; the death toll; the road trip. It's probably one of my favorite fics of mine. Ever.
Breathe your life, hold the line, there's more than monsters on the outside - It's a short fic I wrote for an exchange and it's about zombies during World War 2. I kid you not, I was so out of my comfort zone for this one that I hated working on it. But every time I read it, I feel proud because even though I usually don't write from Ray Toro's POV, I think I did a pretty good job with this one.
Some girls are built for speed - The very last fic I wrote and posted. I went to see a roller derby bout last year and I fell in love with the sport. I couldn't stop picturing Frank trying out for an all girls' team and then decided writing a fic about it was the only way to get it out of my head. I consider it my last venture into bandom because I don't think I'll be able to go back to these characters.

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.
